Liquid Helium Management Products

Cryomech has developed a series of solutions to help manage liquid helium consumption on the laboratory level. Three of the solutions are based on our proven 4K Pulse Tube Cryocoolers and the 4th is our latest development, a system that allows our customers to recover and reuse their helium.

  1. The end user can build into their cryostat one of Cryomech’s PT400 cryocoolers and conductively cool the device directly. They can also install the PT400 cryocoolers into their liquid cryostat and re-condense the boil off. This is the most efficient cooling method, matching the cryocooler and the cryostat to one another.

  2. Cryomech has designed our PT410 and PT415 Re-liquefiers to re-liquefy boil off from a liquid Helium Cryostat or device. The re-liquefiers insert into existing fill ports and connect to the boil off vent. The boil off helium flows into the top of the re-liquefier where it is liquefied and returned to the cryostat through the drain leg. No helium escapes from the system; turning your open cryostat into a closed cryostat.
  3. Our fully automatic LHeP Liquid Helium Plants liquefy and store liquid helium providing you with a constant supply of liquid helium. Three models with production rates of 12, 18 and the new 55 liter per day system are available to fit your requirements.
  4. Cryomech’s Helium Recovery System allows the user to capture helium boil off from multiple devices creating a supply of helium for our LHePs and Re-liquefiers. Our modular, low loss recovery system includes an atmospheric recovery bag, compressor system, storage tanks and a helium purifier.
